Grade 4 Assembly: The theme was related to our second unit of inquiry- "How we express ourselves." Students presented the three types of art, visual, literacy and the performing arts.

Close on heels was our second field trip to the National Museum on the 12th of November. It was an enriching experience learning about the various Prehistoric collections, Archaeology collections, Numismatic and Heraldic , Ceramic collections, Ethnography collections, Geography and History collections. They were very neatly displayed in showcases on different floors of the building. Our students enjoyed the trip and had interesting reflections written about this field trip.

Our first field trip in grade 4 this academic year. Our students were eagerly awaiting for a learning time outside school, which turned out to be very enriching and fun. Our students learned the different types of ceramics like, stoneware, earthenware, porcelain, pottery and fine arts-painting . They also enjoyed playing in the open space in front of the museum after lunch.
8-10-2015 Students presented their research work on different art forms -Visual art, performing arts literary art. They researched and presented their work today on the various types of art and the famous artists associated with it.

Guest Speaker- Mr. Bernard Kerr
Mr. Bernard Kerr, BINUS's MYP Coordinator is also an accomplished ceramicist.
As a guest speaker he shared his knowledge and experiences.
As teachers we felt proud of our students when Mr. Bernard expressed that the questions asked by our students were quite inquiring and appreciated their interest in learning.

1-10-2015 Students of grade 4 were invited to watch the art exhibition of grade 2 students in their foyer. It was exciting to watch and comment as both the grade levels are inquiring into the same transdisciplinary theme" How We express ourselves"
15-9-2015 : Today as a tuning in to our second unit of inquiry "How We Express ourselves" students went on a gallery walk to watch the exhibits displayed by the art department on the fourth floor. Students were excited to interpret the various visual art exhibits in their own imaginative way.

26-8-2015: Guest speakers, doctors from our school clinic- Dr. Putri and Dr. Andi
They were invited to have a talk on the systems our students are learning and also about healthy life style for kids. It was an interesting session and students were excited to participate in the different activities.

19-8-2015 Independence day celebrations: As part of the event we had the whole school flag hoisting ceremony on the 18 of August followed by fun games on the 19 of August which was lead by the Bahasa Indonesia team of teachers. Our students liked and enjoyed the team games and showed team spirit and won the games.

13-8-2015 -We had Rumario our grade 11 student who shared healthy eating habits with our students, as his personal project in MYP was related to healthy lifestyle. It was an interesting and engaging session as our students had many questions for him.
